: Lip-sync problems have showed up on "Chicago Tonight", too - which addressed it on their show a few months ago. Are these problems due to shooting in HD?
Lip Sync issues are one of the side effects of the Digital TV Conversion. While the transmission is now digital, often there is still quite a bit of old analog equipment on line at the TV Station Master Control. Master Control can match up the Lip Sync for the analog sources but once they switch to a SD, HD or other digital source the Lip Sync goes out of whack.
The All Digital TV station isn't quite here yet.
