Jacob, I think broadcast schools are wastes of time and money when you can volunteer at a college radio station (doesn't matter if you aren't a student -- someone's gotta have to fill those overnight airshifts) and intern for free. You can learn the tech stuff and "find your voice" on college radio, and then get your foot in the door and learn the business through your internship.
I'd also check out "The Radio Producer's Handbook" by Rick Kaempfer and John Swanson. It's a few years old and slightly dated at this point (Social Media have emerged since it was published), but the book tells you exactly how to get a job in radio.
