Pete, perhaps you misread my original post because I was not suggesting Jacob intern at a college station. Everyone knows that college stations don't have interns.

I'm sure it differs from college to college, but I worked overnights at WNUR before I eventually transferred to NU, and I had another buddy who would work fill-in at WNUR who never was an NU student. Yes, college stations do need fill-ins, especially during holidays and summers.

And back to Jacob, rather than spend your time and money at a broadcast school, you'd be much better served by getting your Bachelor's Degree at a college or university that has a student station and learning radio on the side. If you like it and want to make a career of it, go for a top notch internship in Chicago or another major market and see where that takes you. Good luck!
