Uh-- okay. Welcome to Business 101. Why wouldn't his people (indirectly him) want to entertain a better deal offer? It's all bout the money at the end of the day, folks. These "good-hearted Chicago guys" who currently syndicate for him obviously can't compete with McVay. Maybe in a few years they will be able to, but for now, bitching and whining through proxy on message boards ain't gonna help raise their image or their earnings.
: I have been given some details about this situation. The biggest villain in this story isn't McVay. A lot of the "bullying" and boneheaded behavior seems to be coming more from Donny Osmond's own people. They are the ones pushing to break the contract, with no compensation to the Chicago team that brought Donny to radio. They are the ones looking to have McVay syndicate a new long-form show.
