Media people change their names for all kinds of reasons, safety being one of them.

Another reason, more pertinent to your post, is that similarly-formatted stations in one market sometimes will ask talent to change their name so that there is fair competition, so that only certain names will be associated with just their station and not a bunch all over town.

So dude, get over yourself, it's not about you; no station is personally looking to "offend" you.
