Anyone know what happened to Steve Dale?

Steve Dale from WLS' blog said he was scheduled to pull a double shift yesterday, but instead of Dale, ABC's Persectives was on in the 6A.M. hour and Bob Davis was on during the 2P.M. hour. I sent him an email too but thought I would ask here.
